Operation Frontline is a nutrition, education, and financial planning program operated locally by Gleaners. Operation Frontline is a direct outreach program that mobilizes culinary and nutrition professionals to teach cooking classes focusing on nutrition and food budgeting to people who are at risk of hunger and malnutrition. Chefs and nutritionists volunteer their time to lead the classes, which run for six weeks and are held at nonprofit community centers.
Operation Frontline is always looking for chefs, nutritionists, and financial planners to volunteer to work with the Operation Frontline coordinator to teach classes. If you are interested in helping out, please contact the Operation Frontline coordinator at 313-923-3535 ext 230 or ofl@gcfb.org.
