Hosting a Fund Drive for Gleaners makes sense! Every dollar donated provides 3 meals for our hungry neighbors. 94 cents of every dollar donated is spent on food distribution or food programs, with only 6 cents spent on overhead. Fund drives are easy, convenient and donations are tax deductible.
A fund drive is an organized effort to collect money for a set period of time. Funds can be collected in donation canisters, on line or by texting a donation. This kind of drive can be helpful to organizations that don’t have room for large boxes in their offices or a good central location to hold a food drive.
