Along with Gleaners, hundreds of NALC branches throughout the country participated in the 21st annual NALC Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive last Saturday, May 11 to provide assistance to the rapidly increasing number of Americans who are struggling with hunger.
If you were unable to provide food items, or you missed the pickup by your letter carrier, you can still participate! Your generous Stamp Out Hunger virtual food drive donation will provide our hungry neighbors with the nutritious and healthy meals they need.
Of every dollar donated, Gleaners uses 93 cents for food and food programs. One dollar provides three meals for a hungry neighbor. Please click here to make a gift today →
Gleaners thanks our hardworking letter carriers and compassionate community members for making the 20th annual Stamp Out Hunger a success. More than 1.2 million pounds of food were collected to help feed hungry families in southeast Michigan.
Gleaners extends our gratitude to all that made the 2012 Stamp Out Hunger a success, including the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC), U.S. Postal Service, Feeding America, Valpak, the National Rural Letter Carriers’ Association, the AFL-CIO, United Way Worldwide, Teamsters and Kroger.
