The pantry serves individuals experiencing a "food emergency" and can provide enough food for approximately 10 days. Families or individuals who are out of food and do not have immediate access to other food sources can be characterized as having a "food emergency." Appointments to visit the pantry are made in advance and many of the callers are able to visit that same day.

Any resident in Livingston County experiencing a food emergency is welcome to visit the pantry up to six times in a year. While here, a visitor can expect to be asked to provide information about their household and about their current food sources. They may also be provided with information that could help a family gain access to additional resources.

Visitors to the pantry take home 30 pounds of food per person in their household. Many different types of foods are available to make up that 30 pounds, ranging in variety from canned fruit and veggies to snacks and beverages. Fresh produce and frozen meats are also provided. Personal care items like laundry detergent and toilet paper are in-stock on a regular basis.
