Partnering with our Front-line Heroes to Keep Children Fed!
The staff at Children’s Hospital of Michigan sees the effects of child hunger firsthand. In 2010, the Children’s Hospital of Michigan’s Professional Nurse Council took action, organizing a massive cereal collection providing more than 160,000 meals for children who face hunger. Year after year, the drive has grown, with almost 3.1 million servings collected in 2019 and a grand total of almost 10.1 million servings in 10 years. Gleaners Community Food Bank distributes the cereal collected through our network of partners.
In 2020 the Annual Cereal Drive has gone Virtual!
