2026 Children’s Hospital Cereal Drive

When school meal programs end, kids still need healthy breakfasts to fuel play and help them grow strong.

That’s why we’re excited to announce that Children’s Hospital of Michigan is once again partnering with Gleaners to host the 2026 Children’s Hospital Cereal Drive. Through our partnership, we’ve raised more than 14.8 million servings of cereal.

Join us by donating a box of cereal at the events below or by giving through our Virtual Milk Drive  between May 29 and June 5 to help children enjoy a healthy breakfast this summer.

Community groups or individuals who have been collecting donations for the Cereal Drive can drop off their donations during any of these collection events.

Friday, May 29 – Children’s Hospital of Michigan (3901 Beaubien Blvd, Detroit, MI 48201)
Cereal Drive Kick-Off Day
  • Time: 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • Activities: Drop off your cereal collection, meet firefighter clowns, enjoy CHM team competitions, snacks, and refreshments.
Saturday, May 30 – Southgate Kroger Collection (16705 Fort St, Southgate, MI 48195)
Collection Event with Hosts from 100.3 WNIC
  • Time: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  • Hosts: Jay Towers, Allyson, and Chelsea from “Jay Towers in the Morning” on 100.3 WNIC
  • Activities: Drop off your cereal collection, meet firefighter clowns, enjoy CHM team competitions, snacks, and refreshments.
Thursday, June 4 – Royal Oak Kroger Collection (2200 E 12 Mile Rd, Royal Oak, MI 48067)
Collection Event with Hosts from 100.3 WNIC & Fox2 Detroit
  • Time: 6:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • Hosts: Jay Towers, Allyson, and Chelsea from “Jay Towers in the Morning” on 100.3 WNIC and FOX 2 Detroit.
  • Activities: Fill a school bus with cereal, meet Kellogg’s Tony the Tiger and United Dairy Industry of Michigan’s Mootilda.

Friday, June 5 – Children’s Hospital of Michigan (3901 Beaubien Blvd, Detroit, MI 48201)

Closing Event

  • Time: 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
