2026 Macomb County Kroger January Food Drive

A nourishing meal shouldn’t be out of reach when winter settles in, but right now, far too many families may be choosing between food and other expenses. That’s where you can make a difference! You can empower our neighbors with the healthy foods they need to thrive today and tomorrow.

For the 15th year, Gleaners is partnering with Kroger Co. of Michigan to host food drives in participating Kroger stores on weekends throughout January. On weekends starting January 10 through January 25, Kroger shoppers will be greeted by Gleaners volunteers distributing lists of needed nutritious foods. Volunteers will collect customer donations on both Saturdays and Sundays between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

All donations go directly to our network of nearly 350 pantry partners, supporting kids, families, seniors, and veterans.

Gleaners requests nutritious items such as:

• Canned Protein (Tuna, Chicken, Beef)

• Canned fruits and vegetables

• Hearty soups

• Dried whole grain pasta and rice

• Nut Butters (Peanut, Almond, Cashew)

• Healthy cereals, oatmeal, and granola bars

• Pasta and pasta sauce

• Protein shakes
