2026 Power Up Detroit With Protein Drive

The Power Up Detroit With Protein Drive is back for the 11th year in a row! The Henry Ford Hospital (HFH) Department of Nursing and Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan are partnering to host the annual drive for a great cause.

This year’s Protein Drive runs from February 20 – 27. In addition to bringing in non-perishable items to donate, participants can use Gleaners’ virtual shopping experience. This means that anyone that would like to make a monetary donation can visit our virtual food drive page and purchase high-protein items to donate through the webpage. Donations and points will automatically be counted towards the unit/department you select. If you’re not a Henry Ford Hospital team member but would still like to make a monetary donation, please select team “Other.”

  1. Peanut Butter Sandwich Showdown Event: Wednesday, February 18
  2. Putting for Peanut Butter Kick Off Event: Friday, February 20
  3. Meaty Monday, February 23 (chicken donations worth double points!)
  4. Tuna Tuesday, February 24 (tuna donations worth double points!)
  5. Fishing for Points Event: Tuesday, February 24
  6. Passion for Peanut Butter Jar Decorating Contest: Wednesday – Thursday, February 25 – 26
  7. Finale Friday Event: February 27
