Scouting for Food

Gleaners Community Food Bank is teaming up with the Boy Scouts of America- Great Lakes Field Service Council for its annual Scouting for Food on November 14th. This event is the Boy Scouts of America’s largest service project. This year, in lieu of bags, flyer distribution will be on Saturday, November 7th. We ask that you please use recycled bags for donating.
To participate, please leave non-perishable food items on your porch the following Saturday, November 14th by 9am. The Scouts will be collecting food starting at 9am until 2pm in Wayne, Macomb & Oakland counties.
Due to the pandemic, we are asking for specific nutritious food for those in need.
Suggested items to donate:
• Canned chicken, canned tuna, canned salmon
• Peanut Butter
• Canned fruit
• Canned vegetables
• Canned pasta sauce
• Dry pasta
• Oatmeal
