Central to our mission is the belief that hunger can be solved. We know that our community is stronger when neighbors have access to the food they need to thrive. We believe our guests should be embraced with support and dignity. And we believe our services should evolve to meet our guests’ changing needs.

More than five years of planning and concept testing have gone into Fresh! by Gleaners, including gathering input directly from Gleaners guests, community leaders, agency partners, local and county government, Gleaners team members and donors.

Fresh! by Gleaners is a launch-and-learn pilot that includes order-ahead curbside pickup and refrigerated locker options, along with soon-to-come in-store “shopping” (no appointment necessary). Additionally, an attached awning allows for weather-protected, drive-up distributions during non-retail hours, twice monthly.

These varied options give our guests greater flexibility in frequency, timing of service and product choice - complementing the important work of the existing emergency food network.
