Corporate Volunteering
Volunteering at Gleaners is not just a team-building activity, it's an opportunity to make a tangible difference in our community. Gleaners relies on dedicated volunteers to pack boxes, sort produce and canned goods, and repack bulk products into family-sized portions. This vital work happens five days a week at our South Campus Distribution Center in Taylor.
By volunteering, you help ensure that kids, families, seniors, and veterans receive the nutritious food they need. Your generous donation of time and energy directly supports our mission to solve hunger and bring hope to Southeast Michigan. Join us in making a meaningful impact.
Please check out our Volunteer Center for current opportunities or contact Julie Ptasznik at jptasznik@gcfb.org.
Women’s Power Breakfast Sponsorship
Gleaners’ legacy event, the Women’s Power Breakfast, is held every spring and draws up to 600 attendees. Food and Fund Drive Support
Food drives are vital to Gleaners’ mission to solve hunger in Southeast Michigan. Last year, they provided over 4.7 million meals to families in need. Hosting a food or fund drive is easy. We'll help you plan, and provide necessary supplies and logistical support.
Choose from three flexible options:
- Collect Food: Host a traditional food drive.
- Collect Funds: Maximize your impact—3 meals for every dollar donated.
- Host a Virtual Food Drive: Shop for needed items on a custom webpage, no bulky boxes or transportation required.
To learn more, please visit Food and Fund Drive page or contact our Community Giving team at communitygiving@gcfb.org or 313-308-0579.
If your organization or business is interested in making a large-scale food donation, please contact fooddonations@gcfb.org to coordinate pick-up or delivery logistics.
Cause Marketing and Third-Party Events
Launching cause marketing campaigns and third-party events supporting Gleaners allows businesses to give back, while promoting your services! These types of campaigns provide opportunities to create custom, mutually beneficial partnerships in which a portion of the proceeds are donated back to Gleaners. By collaborating, businesses will:
- Gain exposure and reinforce corporate social responsibility.
- Enhance brand recognition.
- Engage employees and customers in solving hunger.
Please review the Cause Marketing Campaign and Third-Party Event Guidelines to learn more about partnering with Gleaners.
If you are ready to start planning your campaign, please submit the Campaign and Event Agreement below.
