Mercado Food Hub Pantry

Mercado Food Hub at the Ford Resource and Engagement Center (FREC 1) is a drive-up pantry serving residents of southwest Detroit. Volunteer activities include helping load shopping carts indoors, and loading food into vehicles outdoors. Up to 12 volunteers needed per shift.

There is an urgent need for Spanish-speaking intake specialists. If you are fluent in Spanish, able to commit to a regular schedule and would like to be trained for this special position, contact Julie Ptasznik at jptasznik@gcfb.org.

Please complete a shift request form and a Gleaners volunteer coordinator will contact you to schedule your shift.

Groups of youth must be age 14 or older with a minimum of 2 chaperones required.
