Mike Acheson was recognized by Gleaners Community Food Bank for his tremendous commitment of time, talent and treasure and for being an integral source of steadfast support to the organization.
“The Beacon of Light award winners are our advocates in the community continually pushing to end hunger in Michigan,” said Dr. Phil Knight, FBCM executive director. “We are proud to honor them as Beacon of Light award winners.”
The Michigan Harvest Gathering kicked off Thursday, Sept. 22, at the state Capitol with a goal to raise 2 million meals.
