Gleaners Teams up with Charity Storage!

Gleaners’ partners support our mission in a variety of ways. Organizations across the region help us organize food drives, provide grants, offer professional services, and much more. This support helps us reach more than 428,000 people in need throughout southeast Michigan each year.

Our newest partner, Beyond Self Storage, is offering Gleaners support throughout 2020 and beyond through their Charity Storage program. This initiative utilizes storage facility operations to raise funds to benefit the community. A storage unit is used to collect donated goods from departing tenants, current tenants and auction buyers, as well as local residents and businesses. When the storage facility is full, Charity Storage holds a public auction either onsite or online with Storage, and 90% of the proceeds are distributed to charities in the region.

Gleaners is honored to be selected as one of Charity Storage’s regional partners. Proceeds from all Charity Storage auctions throughout the Detroit area will be donated in support of our mission to end hunger in southeast Michigan. This includes facilities in Sterling Heights, Macomb, Rochester Hills and Commerce Township. Join us in thanking Beyond Self Storage for their tremendous support!
