Metallica is headed to Detroit to perform at Ford Field on November 10 and 12, 2023, as part of their M72 World Tour – and they’re inviting fans to volunteer with Gleaners and help hunger “Fade to Black!”
The band’s foundation, All Within my Hands, will be hosting a series of activities throughout the weekend encouraging their fans to “Fight Fire with Fire” by supporting local initiatives that address the effort to end hunger.
Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeast Michigan is excited to be a part of Metallica’s community service outreach efforts and to serve as the official non-profit partner for the band’s Detroit tour stop. We are partnering with the All Within My Hands Foundation to host a volunteer shift for Metallica fans at our Taylor distribution center on Friday, November 10 in the morning. Participants should expect to help sort, prep and package food that will be distributed to our hungry neighbors across Southeast Michigan.
