On Thursday, November 17, Gleaners received an amazing donation of 500 turkeys and 500 hams from Inland Waters Pollution Control and Inliner Solutions! We are grateful for their generosity so that members of our community can celebrate a festive holiday meal with their families this week.
The donated food was distributed during one of Gleaners’ drive-up distributions at the Mercado Food Hub in Southwest Detroit. Each family receive one ham or one turkey, along with 33 pounds of nutritious food, including fresh produce, a gallon of milk, a dozen eggs, and a loaf of bread.
