Nutrition Education Programs

Nutrition Education Programs

Gleaners’ Nutrition Education team offers programming aimed at empowering community members to make food-related choices that support overall health & well-being. Programming includes classes that focus on how to shop for and prepare nutritious foods at low cost, distribution of resources such as healthy recipes, cooking demonstration videos and assistance with SNAP benefits, as well as support for our pantry partners to meet the nutrition, health, and cultural needs of those they serve. All programs are tailored to meet the needs of our diverse community.

These projects are funded in whole or in part by the USDA’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education through the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and the Michigan Fitness Foundation. This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
