Kingsville, ON (November 13th, 2017) SUNSET® has been honored as the 2017 recipient of the Beacon of Light Award from Food Bank Council of Michigan.
The award was presented at the annual Michigan Harvest Gathering Luncheon in Lansing, Michigan on November 8th. Nominated by Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan, SUNSET® was recognized for the more than 5 million pounds of produce donated in the past year. The donations from SUNSET® have been used towards the Gleaners School Food Mobile Pantry program which feeds families from 79 underserved schools in southeast Michigan.

The Michigan Harvest Gathering (MHG) is an annual statewide campaign that raises food and funds for Michigan’s emergency food response. Now in its 27th year, the MHG Campaign has raised over 54 million meals to help those in need.
