Taylor Kroger Celebrates Grand Re-Opening and Continued Investment in the Community

We’re grateful for Kroger’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the community—both inside and outside its stores!

On March 6, Kroger (7000 Monroe Blvd.) celebrated a re‑grand opening following a $1.8 million dollar expansion and reorganization of the store. Community leaders, including Taylor Mayor Tim Woolley, representatives from Fish & Loaves Community Food Pantry, and Gleaners’ own President and CEO, Angela Moloney, joined Kroger employees to mark the occasion.

As part of the celebration, Kroger highlighted its Zero Hunger | Zero Waste initiative with generous $5,000 donations to both Fish & Loaves and Gleaners—two organizations providing essential food resources to families in Southeast Michigan.

Kroger also reaffirmed its long-term investment in the community with the recent announcement of a second superstore coming to the Eureka–Telegraph area. Stores like the Ecorse Road location, which employs about 170 people, play an important role in supporting local families and strengthening the local economy.

We celebrate Kroger’s continued dedication to serving our neighbors—and creating a fresher, stronger community for everyone.
